It’s hard to believe that mom has been gone a little over five months now… She passed away in February, leaving me in an emotional tailspin! She wasn’t just my mother, she was my best friend! However, now, it feels as if I’m starting over!
Mom and I travelled fulltime in a little 22′ ft travel trailer for a number of years, enjoying the sites and tastes of whatever town we found ourselves in. Yet we never lost our focus of the homestead life we’d left behind…
When travelling became too difficult for mom, we decided to settle into a rustic little campground that allowed us to have a little garden. This allowed us to grow at least some of our own food!
However, when the good Lord decided to take her her home in February, I found myself struggling through grief and a new job!
It was time for me to take a step back to ponder my next move!
Traveling was moms idea… So was keeping to our homesteading lifestyle as much as possible… and I found myself wondering if this what what I really wanted to do!
After much deliberation and some serious soul searching, I know the future I want, and I’m willing to fight for it!
